The gut microbiota has been a trending topic for several years. Discoveries and debates around its importance to general health and wellness are increasing, as is the amount of research on the term âgut healthâ.
The GMFH editorial team is pleased to announce that for the fourth year in a row, consumer health information website Healthline has selected the Gut Microbiota for Health platform as one of the top 9 blogs on the Gut Health 2020 for our “active and continuing intention to educate, inspire and empower people to improve their gut health.”
With the redesign of our 2020 platform for a better user experience, and the new section entitled Diet 4 Gut health, dedicated to promoting the role of food in bowel function to dietitians, health professionals and gut health advocates, GMFH is more than ever engaged in educating people on this popular topic. We also launched the new Instagram account @ Food4Gut_Health, with the aim of igniting new conversations, sharing science in a colorful and fun way, and expanding our audience.
In the first half of the year, we shared over 50 articles on gut microbiota, diet, immunity, and gut health, along with engaging video interviews with experts and engaging infographics.
We also actively participated in the #GutToKnowYou awareness campaign, sharing the importance of the gut microbiota for health with as many people as possible. The campaign included over 600 tweets and resulted in 375 of you actively participating in conversations with us.
