A lot of people may think that fashion and food are an unlikely match, but I’ve seen a recent spike in beautiful blogs and well-produced websites that cover both. Here are five that I love.
The spicy stylus: New Yorker Serena Goh brings you the perfect mix of style and recipes on her really cool site. Think about what to pack when you hit the beach for the weekend, and some delicious solutions to make if it’s too hot to cook.
The new potato: Founded by sisters Danielle and Laura Kosann, the trendy site showcases each other’s food and dining experiences from Travel Channel’s Adam Richman Man vs. Food and Modern familyfrom Ty Burrell to Danielle and Jodie Snyder, designers of the Dannijo jewelry line, and their style buddy, Leandra Medine, of The Man Repeller. The duo’s access is unprecedented.
House of Reveries: Gennie Yi started the House of Dreams in 2009 to document life in New York City and share the fashion-related DIY projects she was working on at the time. Now that turns into a preview of its incredible premium taste (in the best possible way!). We’re talking about Chanel and Celine bags, Upper East Side art gallery tours, and delicious meals at Locanda Verde.
Honestly yum: Brought to you by the geniuses behind the DIY fashion center Honestly … WTF, Honestly Yum is called a “new destination dedicated to the visual exploration of taste”. While the site has mouthwatering food recipes and matching photos, I especially like their cocktail recipes.
Milk and Fashion: In addition to running her own business, former magazine editor Carol Han writes Milk and Mode, a site that offers a mix of personal style, quirky errands, and detailed recipes for healthy meals like a mushroom salad. and quinoa or zucchini pizzettes.
What food-meet-fashion blogs do you girls read these days? Did I miss something from the list? To share!
